project proposal (revised!)

PROJECT PROPOSAL FA2002

Proposing my own brief, choosing not to undertake a placement in a specific place.

Am instead focusing on my infatuation with owls. Illustration based and commercial based- plan to sell finished pieces on etsy.

Methodology: how do you intend to carry out your project

Lots of drawing, from life(visiting owl sanctuaries) and also from my head for the owls to be less realistic looking. Realistic drawings are good but I'd rather they were more quirky.

Then developing drawings into prints/ pattern designs/ zines/ illustrations/ stuffed animals.

Researching species of owls and more about their behaviour.

Thinking about making some artwork to advertise the owl sanctuary Turbary Woods as they have very little to promote themselves. Donations for admittance to the sanctuary goes towards feeding and housing sick and injured owls. They also have a small display area for owl themed goods (lol) where I could display and sell my work.

3.Objectives; what you plan to achieve by the end of the module

Full sketchbook (S) of drawings and developments.

Finished set of illustrations/prints/stictched animals, possibly culimating in an artists book or a folio of prints.

4.Resource requirement. Set yourself realistic objectives that can be met within the resource provisions available. You should list all equipment and materials you expect to use

Print room facilities,

Own sewing machine, upcycled fabric

Digital camera and possibly lomo camera if I can obtain one!

5. Timetable; set yourself specific goals to make sure manage time properly.

new deadline each week, first week is to finish illustrations from visit to owl sanctuary and post on blog and research illustratiors relative to my project.
